Eric Bender
After graduating with degrees in economics and finance, I went to work on Wall Street and began to build my career and experience within the financial industry.
I’ve always been driven by entrepreneurism and so in 2003 I launched a firm in the financial technology sector. Ultimately, the growth and success of that firm led to me selling in 2018. With retirement now in hand, our family relocated from Colorado to the sun and sand of Gulf Shores, AL.
Retirement didn’t last long -
With Inspiration fueled by the beauty of architecture of coastal living we decided to launch Bayview Homes. Building luxury custom homes takes skill, creativity, precision, craftsmanship, and an amazing team. If I learned one thing from years of operating my first business, its have a really good plan and then develop a team that you trust to execute that plan. That team is here below me and as you’ll see, they’re really good at what they do!

Architectural Designer and Marketing Director
Emma Bender, ASID
My interest in architecture and interior design first began because of my mom, Lisa who has been in the field for decades. Ultimately, she inspired me to pursue it in college, where I received my Bachelors in Architectural Design. I fell in love with the idea of being able to transform spaces and draw inspiration from simple objects, textiles, and shapes.
Since graduating from The University of Alabama, I’ve focused my energy on designing homes that elevate and inspire. I love the charm and elegance of coastal homes and am inspired to design homes for our homeowners that want to live that lifestyle.
At Bayview Homes I work closely with the construction team to bring vision to life and to create homes that reflect the coastal charm we all love.

Construction Managaer
Lisa Bender
I have been in the home building industry since 1987. I graduated with a Bachelors in drafting and design, and ultimately went on to build a career on drafting plans for both Architects and Structural Engineers. From there I worked on homes as a warranty specialist, to being a construction superintendent and managing the project builds for the home builder. In my career I have built over two hundred homes. After stepping away to raise a family, I am excited to once again get back into the field that I love so much, and build beautiful, high quality homes for families to call their own.
